Popular Holiday Tunes at Landrum

Christmas Music
Christmas music is a wonderful thing that brings people joy and brings families together. Without it this holiday season wouldn’t be as magical. How early is too early in the season to listen and how exactly do Christmas carols enhance the holiday seasons.
“Christmas music should be aired December 10th, 6pm, because that’s 15 days before Christmas and right before people arrive home from work,” described Carter Ottesen.
Others believe that Christmas should be aired earlier than this.
“I think Christmas music should be aired December 1, because it is the start of December, and its just after Thanksgiving,” said Sam Cote. Tyler Speace also had a similar time as Sam,
“November 30 is a good day to air Christmas music because you should wait until after Thanksgiving, but it also can’t be too late,” stated Tyler.
The best Christmas song is always a very debated topic, many people can argue many songs but a poll of the students at Landrum. Out of 103 students we polled an astonishing 50 people voted for Jingle Bell Rock. Then in second place was It’s Beginning to Look A lot Like Christmas with 25 votes. In a close 3rd place we had All I want for Christmas is you having 18 votes. Finally, we had Last Christmas with 10 votes.
With Christmas music being so popular this time of year, it leaves many wondering about why it is so special. There is a relative theme but different reasons why,
“Christmas music brightens the mood and makes you happy and eager to give other people gifts,” said Carter Ottesen.
“Christmas music brings the joy to the holiday and it spreads cheer to all the people,” said Tyler Speace.
“It expresses the happiness of Christmas with good tunes and brings the joy and cheer to the season,” said Sam Cote.
