Ready, set, its college football time. The college football playoffs consist of four teams, Georgia (#1), Michigan (#2), TCU (#3), and coming in 4th place Ohio State.
Georgia and Michigan are both undefeated, but you may ask why is Georgia ranked #1 and Michigan #2 if they both played the same number of games and both have a perfect record? Georgia is in first place because they have played more challenging teams and have a way harder schedule.
Georgia knocked off the first-place team who was Tennessee at the time. All four teams deserve to be in the playoffs, they all had to play good and competitive teams with Georgia’s best competition was having to play Tennessee, Michigan played OSU and they beat them 45 23 and they were ranked 2 at the time but after the loss they went down to 5 but with a little help from Utah beating USC they got back in the top 4. TCU had one of the easier schedules with their best win being #9 Kansas state, but they also lost to them in the big 12 Championship game losing by a field goal.
These four teams will be playing each other in the semi-finals December 31st and the championship game will be on January 9th, 2023. The schedule consists of Georgia vs. Ohio State and TCU will be matching up against Michigan.
The Georgia Bulldogs are heavy favorites to win the National Championship because they won last year and they have played the hardest competition, but Roman Shewchuk thinks otherwise, he stated “I personally think Alabama should be in the playoffs, but TCU will pull through with the win.”
For the semi-finals of the college football playoffs Georgia will be playing the #4 seed Ohio State, and Michigan is playing #3 TCU. Many people think Georgia and Michigan will win in the semi-finals, but Truett Henderson says “I think TCU will beat Michigan by 31-30.” The final playoff predictions are Georgia will win 38-21 and Michigan will win 42- 24, for the national championship Georgia is going to win 31-28.

Michigan’s all-time record is 989-352-36. Michigan started their football program in 1879, then they joined the big ten conference in 1896. Michigan being one of the better all-time records winning 11 national championships.
TCU’s all-time record is 658-545-50. TCU stared later than other schools, starting in 1903 only won one national championship in 1938. TCU also had only one player to win the Heisman trophy his name was Davey O’Brien.
Ohio State all-time record is 468-171-24 in conference play. Ohio state was second among all big ten programs with 924 win over 130 seasons. Ohio started in 1890 and their biggest rival is Michigan
