There are many different and good movies that I have seen, but Avatar: The Way of Water is one of the best. There will be spoilers if you have not watched, so I recommend you do view it before reading.

I personally liked the movie, because it had a good story and good (CGI) computer-generated imagery. I think the original is a better movie compared to the new one, but that does not mean it is horrible by any means. I would rate it four out of five stars.

The movie was very accurate to what I expected in terms of design. The world of Pandora was beautiful and bright and with 3D glasses it made me feel like I was experiencing the world from my own eyes. You might not experience it with 3D glasses, but even so it is still a good movie.

The plot is quite simple, but every time something happens you are just waiting for what is next. The characters were all well executed and fit for the roles they were meant to be. The movie also had some depressing parts that would make you feel sad for the struggles of the characters. The saddest part in my opinion was when they killed the Tulkans (giant whales). It was also heartbreaking seeing how Jake Sully and Ney’tiri reacted to their son Neteyams death.

Everything from the sea to land were beautifully designed. Even when the story was getting serious it is hard to ignore the beauty of the world. Once again, the plot was amazing, instead of staying primarily in the land like the first movie they moved into the water because they were bringing danger to the Na’vi of the land and wanted to settle somewhere where that wouldn’t danger. Having a change in scenery made it feel like a unique experience.

I personally like that they brought back the villain from the last movie and upgraded him with a avatar body.  I think it he is a good villain, because he is a bad dude, he is a former Marine, and knows how to fight and survive. He also has a group of Marines in avatar body’s that help him.

The only thing that I did not like is that the villain survived again, because the next movie will have the same villain. I think him being revived is not great because there will be more movies and it would get boring if he keeps being reused.

I liked the movie and would give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars. The plot and characters are good, and the CGI is amazing. It makes you feel like you are in the water sometimes. The villain is good, but I think he will be a little bit over used if he keeps being revived. Overall though I liked the movie and I have no complaints.
